Santillo seeks to uncover the Hidden Face of his subjects, the sensual persona that exists within all people. His work celebrates these personae with sensitivity, compassion and depth. Reminiscent of the richly sensual jazz of Miles Davis, his photographs are visual translations of Davis’s haunting trumpet solos. They capture The Perfect Moment—the lingering, charged moods and memories that recall the often tender - but sometimes taboo - aspects of human desire.
